Obituary of Robert Joseph LaFontaine
Robert “Bobby” Joseph LaFontaine, Jr., age 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his home peacefully surrounded by his family in Saucier.
Bobby was born to Robert and Helen Bond LaFontaine in Gulfport, MS. He was a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church.
Bobby was a star athlete and graduate of Harrison Central High School. After high school, Bobby was drafted into the United State Army and served in the Panama Canal Zone. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #214 in Baton Rouge, LA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert LaFontaine.
He is survived by the love of his life, Carolyn Armstrong LaFontaine; his son, Jeffery LaFontaine; his mother, Helen LaFontaine; his sisters, Sandra Robinson (Mike), Linda Pucheu, and Karen Farner (Mac); his mother-in-love, Mary Armstrong Noe; his sister-in-law, Claire Vereker (Mike); his brother-in-law, Douglas Armstrong (Phyllis); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00AM until the service at 11:00AM at Coalville United Methodist Church,12298 Shorecrest Rd, Biloxi. A burial will follow the service at Coalville Cemetery.
