Billie Joe Odom

SSGT Billie J. Odom, USAF, Ret., passed away June 23, 2013 at 5 am at his home in Escatawpa, MS.
Sgt. Odom spent 21 years in the Air Force. He taught Vocational Education at Harrison Central High School from 1970 - 1978. He worked several years, 1986-89, for the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, H.P. Odom and Ethel Wheat Odom.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Della Faye Odom, and 4 children, Jo Anne (Terry), William (Gena), Bryan (Margi), and Keith Odom, and 8 grandchildren.
Mr. Odom was well liked and respected by all who knew him and was especially noted for his ""gift of gab."" He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
