Zula Pearl Slater

Zula Pearl Slater, age 80, of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in Gulfport.
Ms. Slater was an office manager at American Red Cross in Biloxi for over 20 years. She was a giving person, often to those she didn't even know and was of the Baptist faith.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Malone and Annie Bell Malone.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Slater of Austin, TX, Bob Slater and his wife Patty, Mike Slater, Marty Dennison and her husband Bill all of Gulfport; sisters, Nell Paxton, Betty Kline, Reba Perry and husband Glenn, Brenda Fairchild, Jane Petranek and husband Wayne; brother, Boyd Malone and his wife Rachel all of Carthage; eight grandsons whom she loved dearly and were the light of her life, Jeff Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Chris Slater, Matthew Slater, Cody Slater, Brian Slater, Jason Slater, and Austin Slater; two great grandsons, Julian and Joey Slater; and her dear friend Wally Alford.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010, at 2:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
