Zelma Perkins, age 63, and a resident of the Kiln, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Perkins was born to Holliman Cuevas and Vercie Mae Cuevas in 1947. She was a lifelong resident of the coast. She loved going to church and enjoyed being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Holliman Cuevas; and in-laws, Hildon and Ittia Perkins.
She is survived by her husband, Hayward Perkins; two children, Connie Perkins and Bobby Perkins; daughter-in-law, Angela Perkins; three grandchildren, Winstonn, Samantha, and Daisy; her mother, Vercie Mae Cuevas; her sister, Thelma Ladner; and her brother, Frankie Cuevas; two nieces and three nephews that she loved as her own, Robert, Violet, Kim, Robbie, and Darrin; and many more she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2010 beginning at 11:00 AM at the residence of Holliman and Vercie Mae Cuevas, 25068 Road 302, Kiln. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Wolf Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
