Zacharias (Zach) Levi Seymour, 32, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 after a long courageous battle with kidney cancer.
Zach was born on December 2, 1977 in Sandpoint, Idaho. He graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1996. In 1998 he graduated from the Respiratory Therapy program at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He worked with Memorial Hospital of Gulfport for five years as a Respiratory Therapist, and then attended William Carey School of Nursing. He graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2004 and continued employment with Memorial Hospital until his death. During his illness with cancer he attended University of South Alabama pursuing a Nurse Practitioner degree, which his son will receive his diploma in May.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; one son Reece, age 3; his parents, Manuel and Carolyn of Gulfport; Brothers, Manuel and Pam of Byhalia; Josh and Angela of Collierville, TN; nephews, Christopher, Ian, Kyle, Nathan, and Jacob; and niece, Alexandra; and his paternal grandmother; Mary Seymour.
The family wishes to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to the ICU of Memorial Hospital of Gulfport and Odyssey Healthcare. They were all wonderful, caring, and compassionate individuals.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road, where friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010, in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
