Yvonne Quave Wheat

Yvonne Quave Wheat, 73, was taken to heaven on Monday, July 25, 2011.
Her final days were spent surrounded by the love and affection of family. Yvonne was born in Bogalusa, LA on Feb. 12, 1938, and lived most of her young life in Richmond, VA, but moved with her parents and brother to Pass Christian where they lived for a year. Yvonne attended Dedeaux School during that school year where she made many lasting friends. Her family returned to Virginia for 18 months; however, when they again returned, she finished her last two years of high school, graduating from Bogalusa High School.
Upon graduation, she embarked on a secretarial career that began in Bogalusa with Washing Parish Welfare Department, and took her to East Baton Rouge Parish; Services for the Blind in St.Paul, Minnesota and also in Columbia, SC; and Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. She was kept books for her husband in his business since returning to the Coast.
She was preceded in death by her only brother ""Brother"" Quave; and her parents, Kermit and Hazel Necaise Quave.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ned, and their four children: Kevin (Debbie) and their four children: Tara Whillock (Michael) and their two children: mason and Olivia; Shane; Amber Cabrera (Eric); and Megan; Nedra Kaye Kersey (Thomas and their children: Keryn Isenhoward (Kevin) and Scott Kersey (Sarah) and their child: John Thomas, Bryan Keith, and Kris (Christine) and his son and grandson, Kristopher, and Kristopher, Jr.
Yvonne loved the Lord and the church and spent many happy years working in and for all the church functions.
The visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10:00 am at Standard Apostolic Church in Kiln. Burial will follow at Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery.
