Yvonne Laverne Rice

Yvonne Laverne Rice, 71, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Gulfport. She had a passion for teaching others as instructor for American Beauty College and then went on to become a hair stylist for J. Ellis and Co. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. With her joyous personality and her positive outlook on life, she was loved by all that knew her. She was a devout member of St. James Catholic Church of Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam Bennett and Marcia Bennett, husbands, Pete Rice and Jheri Ellis.
She was survived by son, Bryan Ellis of Gulfport, grandson, Brad Ellis of Milton, FL, brother, Art Bennett of Pass Christian, beloved dog, Deedee.
Funeral Service will be Friday, March 28 at 3:00 pm from RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park Cemetery in Biloxi.
