Winnie Hutchins

Winnie Louise Cruthirds Hutchins, age 88, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 in D’Iberville, MS.

She was born in Hansboro and was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Winnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyman, where she loved attending Sunday School and working at the M.L. Tootle Mission Food Pantry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floy and Charles Cruthirds; her husband, C. E. “Buddy” Hutchins, Jr.; brothers, Forrest, Jack and Everett Cruthirds; and sisters, Margaret Clark and Geneva Tate.

Winnie is survived by her three children, Karen Petrignani (Gianluigi) of Brandon, MS, Kevin Hutchins of Gulfport, Kimberly Peterman (Kenny) of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Elena Wright (Cory), Kasey George (Richard), Kent Peterman (Jennifer), Kyle Peterman; six great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Karoline, Nathanial, Kaleb, Maddie and Sawyer; sister, Rubbie Lee; brother, Jimmy Cruthirds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling with Buddy and their RV friends, reading, crocheting, playing cards and dominoes with her friends at Seashore Highlands, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
