Winfred "Wimpy" Pilgrim

Winfred ""Wimpy"" Pilgrim, age 69, resident of Gulfport passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012.
He was born in Neshoba County, MS on October 15, 1942. He moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1969 with his wife, Carole. Wimpy was a member of Campground Baptist Church and the Coast Ropers Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pilgrim.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Ward Pilgrim; his children, Gaile Pilgrim Dupree and her husband Jacob, and Joey Pilgrim and his wife Jennifer; his mother, Arcola King Pilgrim; his grandchildren, Celeste and Ty Pilgrim, Lauren and Addison Dupree; his brothers, Anthony Pilgrim and his wife Sherry, and Dwight Pilgrim and his wife Janis; and his niece and nephews, Robert, Leanne, and Todd.
A Husband, Dad, PawPaw, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. Always our strength, never wavering, and steadfast. Always so prideful when it came to his family. You were the link in the chain that couldn't be broken, and you showed your strength until your very last breath. We love you and we miss you, however we kept a piece of you the day God called you home.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior, at the funeral home on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Burial will immediately follow at Finley Cemetery.
