Winford Roland Winters

Winford Roland Winters (Bud), 97 passed peacefully on February 26, 2023 in Greenwood, South Carolina. 

Winford was born on January 19, 1926 in Leslie, Arkansas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Joy John Winters; a sister Virginia Olivier; a daughter Pamela Winters; and a grandson Todd Whitesides. 

Winford is survived by, 4 children, Winford Winters, II, David Winters, Shawn Winters, and Catrenia Hall; 1 step child, Jeanine Murphy; and 11 grandchildren/step grandchildren, Winford Winters, III, Ana Robbins, Tonya Winters Sheets, Michael Whitesides, Summer Winters, David Potter, II, Savanna Potter, Amber Finch, Jayme McGill, Jacqueline Nelson, Seth Drewry, Preston Drewry, Taitumn Drewry, and Bradyn Deen Roland Drewry; as well as many great- grandchildren; and his partner of over 20 years Ms. Frances. 

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Winford could be found pulling for the LSU Tigers on Saturday and the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. 

Winford was a World War II Veteran and had genuine love for his country. He was best known for being the “best used car salesman” on the coast and was the salesman of choice by so many. He touched many lives with his generosity, passion for life, and witty personality. You never saw him without a smile on his face and loved knowing he was everyone’s favorite paw paw, family or not. 

He will forever be loved and missed by many.

A visitation will be from 9:00-9:30am, Friday, March 10, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, with a 10:00am service to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
