Wilma Necaise

February 16, 1941 — January 23, 2021

Wilma Necaise passed on to Heaven on 01/23/21 after a long battle with COPD at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

Wilma was raised in Pineville, MS, graduated from Pass Christian High School and was a member of the Pass Christian High School Pirates girl’s basketball team.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Necaise, parents Eugene and Jessie Lizana, siblings Bert Lizana, Virginia Bazzell, Audrey Manual, Lelon Lizana, Marion Glassey, Della Mevius and Joyce Cuevas, son Rodney Necaise Sr. and granddaughter Tiffany Necaise.

Wilma is survived by son Frank Necaise, Debbie Necaise ( Daughter in Law) Grand Children: Rodney Necaise Jr ( Jessica Necaise) , Joseph Necaise. Great Grandchildren Courtney Necaise ( Rodney Jr) Anna Necaise ( Rodney Jr) Dean Necaise ( Rodney Jr) Jaxson Necaise ( Joseph) , Jace Necaise ( Joseph). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and family friends.

She worked and retired from Hancock/ Whitney Bank after many years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. Wilma was an excellent seamstress and made several wedding gowns for members of the family. She and several of her sisters were the go to Aunts for clothing alterations. Her home was open to all. She prepared many tasty meals for her family, friends and neighborhood children. She also loved to read and could always be found reading a good book.
She will be missed by family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She put her whole heart and soul into her family. She faced many challenges throughout her life and made it through these trials and tribulations with her faith in God and love of her family. May she rest in peace with our God Almighty.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Pass Christian. Friends may visit from 2 – 3 pm in the church. A private interment will take place at a later date.
