Mrs. Wilma Cox, age 85, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Cox was born in Missouri to the late Earsel and Ethel Fenner. She had been a resident of Gulfport since 1957, where she was member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport. She enjoyed her hobby club, bridge club, garden club, and flowers. Gardening was one of her favorite pasttimes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Welby Jack Cox; her parents; her sister, Norma Dennis.
She is survived by her children, Terry Cox of Gulfport, Dr. Roger Cox of Chapel Hill, NC, and Jackie Craft of Arlington, TX; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and her feline companion, Sunny.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gulfport. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
