Willis Robert Saucier, Sr., age 85 of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Wiggins.
He was a native of Pass Christian and served in the United States Army for 20 years. During his enlistment, he served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea.
Willis was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Stiglet; his father, Edward Alexander Saucier; his daughter, Pamela Jean Saucier; his sister, Vida Lea Ladner; his brother, Cecil Saucier; his uncle, Alonzo Joseph Saucier; and his aunt, Valena Saucier.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara Saucier; his children, Willis R. “Bobby” Saucier, Jr., Cynthia A. Collins (William F. “Bill”), Kevin L. Saucier (Jeannette), and Karen M. Saucier; his grandchildren, William A. Collins, Robert Joseph Saucier, and Dustin Lee Saucier; and 8 great grandchildren.
Willis was a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 674 of Biloxi, MS. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in his honor to Alzheimer’s Disease Research and the American Kidney Fund.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
