Willie Thames

Willie Ree Thames, age 96, passed away July 16, 2022.

She was born on March 14, 1926, to Mr. and Mrs. Levis Davis. Willie enjoyed working with her flowers and in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee R. Thames; her daughter, Judy Thames; and son, Buddy, Ronnie, and Rodney Thames; 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandsons; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Willie is survived by 3 sons, Marcus Schuchs (Julie), Donald Thames, and Larry Thames; 2 daughters, Brenda Atterberry (Steve), and Patti Thames; 17 grandkids; 38 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a lot of nieces and nephews.

Willie and our family would like to thank everyone that has helped out through these difficult times.

The first visitation will be 5-8pm, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport. The second visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, July 22, 2022, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, in Monticello, MS. A funeral service will follow at Wilson’s Funeral Home Saturday July 23, 2022 at 1pm. Interment will be at Robert Memorial Cemetery, in Monticello, MS.
