Willie Earl Banks, of Biloxi, has passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born on May 1, 1936, in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Mr. Banks attended M.F. Nichols High School in Biloxi, MS and later went on to serve in the US Army Reserves. His commitment to his work and his country defined him throughout his life. He was a dedicated custodian who served faithfully for 37 years at Keesler Air Force Base and also at Boomtown Casino.
In addition to his successful career and military service, Willie was a beloved son and brother. He is survived by his five sisters: Mary Davis, Linda Banks-Wardlow, Brenda Banks Gibson, Charline Banks Keener, and Darlene Banks Edison (and her husband Fredrick); and his brother, Gary R. Banks.
Not only will Willie be missed by his immediate family but also by a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends whose lives he touched with kindness and compassion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Banks; his mother, Agnes Banks; and his brother, Charles L. Banks.
Willie Earl Banks will be remembered for his work ethic, humility, and dedication to both his family and community. His legacy of hard work and service will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
