William “Billy” Thomas Howard, age 64, of Gulfport, Mississippi, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday night, March 3, 2022, after a short illness.
Billy was a graduate of Long Beach High School and received his bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Billy was presently employed by the United States Postal Service in Gulfport. He loved his job and enjoyed meeting the various people on his route.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Dr. William Howard of Gulfport; and by his niece, Shauna Howard of Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his mother, Natalie Nolan Howard of Ocean Springs; three brothers, Patrick Harvey Howard of Gulfport, Sean Nolan Howard of Baton Rouge, LA, and Timothy Quinn Howard of Honolulu, Hawaii; three nephews, Patrick Harvey Howard, Jr., Zackary Howard and Jonathan Quinn Howard, and their children, Shauna, Ryleigh, Tyler, Ryder, Keegan and Dillon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, MS. Visitation will be held one hour prior, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Billy will be laid to rest at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
