William Joseph "Billy" Whobrey

William ""Billy"" Joseph Whobrey, age 36 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Sunday, October 7, 2012, in New Orleans.
Billy was a native of Chicago Heights, IL and a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was an avid outdoorsman, lived a full and active life, and traveled extensively. Billy enjoyed spending time with this family and friends, and will be sadly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Whobrey; his mother, Bobbie Shepard and a brother, Len Whobrey.
Billy is survived by his sisters, Beth Parker and Gina Waaga both of Pass Christian; his brothers, Thomas (Dawn) Shepard of Crown Point, IN and Ron Whobrey of Pass Christian; his nieces, Christy Parker, Ashley Parker, Jessica Waaga, Sophia Shepard, and Samantha Ferrantella and his nephews, Michael Parker, Dakota Woodcock, and Rocco Ferrantella.
A celebration of Billy's life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 3:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
