William Watt

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, William "Randy" Watt made his transformation from this Earth to the loving arms of his Father at the age of 79.

Randy was born on March 25, 1941, in Jackson, MS, the son of the late Robert and Cecile Cade Watt. On October 14, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Melva Richardson Watt. Together they raised two children, Sheila and Rodney. He was a successful business owner of Salon Specialties and Cyclist Choice for over 25 years. He faithfully attended Northwood Church in Gulfport. Randy had a passion for spreading the Goodness of God to everyone he encountered. His strong faith was reflected in the way he devoted his life to spread God's love. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading and studying his Bible. He believed in the spoken word and speaking positive words over your life and situations. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family, the generosity of his friendship with talks, smiles and laughter, and for his love and devotion to his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his son, Randell Watt, Jr. and by one sister, Bobbye Kimbrell.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Melva Watt; one daughter, Sheila Watt and her partner, Belinda; one son, Rodney Watt and his wife, Rhonda; one granddaughter, Randi Williams and her husband, Brett; two sisters, Mary Brown and Cecile McNaughten; one life brother, Tim Lewis and his wife, Debby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Mr. Randy's life will be held from Roseland Burial Park in Hattiesburg, MS, on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. with Randy's Life Brother, Pastor Tim Lewis officiating. A reception will follow at the home of Rodney Watt.
