William Thompson, age 79, of Long Beach, passed away on May 17, 2010 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thompson and Lela Henry Thompson; two sisters, Jean Wheeler and Lela Wilde; and two brothers, Harry Thompson and Cecil Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Mahoney Thompson of Long Beach; his children, Patricia McNeil and her husband, Dale, of Avon, NY, William 'Billy' F. Thompson of Rochester, NY, Barbara Maynard of Hilton, NY, Nancy Lukas of Long Beach, MS, Carolyn Thompson of Rochester, NY, and Mary Trouerbach and her husband, Eric, of Ocean Springs, MS; twenty two grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army for four years in Munich, Germany. He was a Purchasing Agent for Rappl and Hoemig for thirty three years.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach where family and friends may visit from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
