William "Bill" Slaughter

William ""Bill"" Slaughter, Jr., age 64 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, in Gulfport.
He was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for the past 40 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the Gulfport Yacht Club for many years, and of the Catholic faith.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr. & Janie Slaughter.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Angela) Slaughter of Long Beach and Gregg Slaughter of Fordyce, AR; his sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Bull of Chattanooga, TN and Sue Plunkett of Dallas, TX; his brothers, Bobby (Pat) Slaughter of Pine Bluff, AR and Jim (Evelyn) Slaughter of San Angelo, TX; his aunt, Faye Woodfield of Long Beach; three grandchildren, Leann Slaughter, Gauge Slaughter, and Robert Moore; and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
