William Rivenbark

William N. Rivenbark, age 69, of Gulfport, MS, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Gulfport. Bill was born in Plant City, FL, on August 15, 1947.
Bill graduated from Long Beach High School in 1966 where he lettered in basketball and football and was a proud member of the Prestigious Bears. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from the service in 1971. He retired from Turan Foley in Gulfport as Service Manager after 32 years. Bill was an avid golfer, loved motorcycles, and drag racing his Camaro. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Rivenbark; his father, Jack Rivenbark; and mother-in-law, Doris H. Fayard.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Rivenbark; daughters, Julie Rivenbark and Shannon Free; sisters, Linda Arkwright of Gulfport and Laurie Rivenbark of Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Prima, Shelby Prima, Tyler Free, Haley Woodall, Nicholas and Austin Rivenbark; great-grandchildren, Kayelyn, Hayden, and Conner; nieces, Donna (Don) Holifield, Victoria (Dan) Frasier and Brandy Rivenbark; sons, Justin, Shawn, and Michael Griffing; grandchildren, Haleigh, Allison, Brooklyn, Lily and Hunter; cousin, Bill Morrow of FL; and his "fur baby", Izzie.
Visitation will be held from 11:30a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A procession will leave at 1:45 p.m. en route to Biloxi National Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. graveside with military honors rendered by the U.S.A.F. Honor Guard.
