William Richmond III, USN Retired

William C. Richmond, III, age 57 of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

He was a native of Salem, Oregon and graduated in 1982 from North Salem High School.  He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he spent 20 years active duty with the Construction Battalion and served in the Gulf and Iraq Wars.  He also was employed in Expeditionary Maintenance Center (Gulfport) NAVFAC.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharron Richmond; his father, William C. Richmond, Jr.; and his sister, Catherine Roper.

William is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kimberly Richmond; his mother-in-law, Wanda Jones; his stepchildren, Adam Alexander (Katie) and Noelle Stevenson (Patrick); his siblings, Bonny Smith (Kent), Deborah Weston (Mike), and Pauline Dixon (Ed); and his grandchildren, Sadie Stevenson, Gavin Hartley, and Madelyn Hartley.

He was a member of Amazing Love Ministry Center of Pass Christian and was a Jack of all Trades.  He loved taking rides on his bike.

He was loved by everyone whose life he touched, most especially his wife.  He will be missed but remembered by all.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport.  The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM at the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
