William T. Plummer, Sr., 86, of Woolmarket, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He also retired as a painter after his military service. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Gulfport.
Mr. Plummer was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton & Maxie McKinnis Plummer; his wife of 57 years, Nellie Marie Plummer; his siblings, C.M. Plummer, Virginia Fayard, Evelyn Cunsolo, and Herbert Plummer.
He is survived by his sons, William T. (Teresa) Plummer, Jr., Ted Neil Plummer, Daniel H. Plummer, and Gregory W. Plummer; siblings, Stella Paige, Dixie Schankin, Jimmy Plummer, and Norris Plummer; grandchildren, Blake Plummer, William T. Plummer, III, Jessica L. Gilbert, Charlie Neal, and Melissa Glass; great grandchildren, Antoni and Dylan Gilbert, Christian Glass, and Issac Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 10:00 am, with visitation from 9:00 am until service time, at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
Burial will follow at Woolmarket Cemetery, with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
