William J. Norris, age 51, of Powder Springs, GA, died on June 22, 2007 in Powder Springs.
Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Michael Norris, his mother, Marilyn Norris, and his brother, John Norris.
He is survived by his father, Richard D. Norris of Pass Christian, MS,; four brothers, Richard F. Norris and his wife, Coylean of Kentucky, Robert Norris and his wife Becky of Long Beach, Lawrence Norris and his wife, Stacey, of Montgomery, AL, and Patrick Norris of Pass Christian; three sisters, Barbara Wiggs and her husband, George, of Godwin, NC, Maureen Norris of Pass Christian, and Laurel Anderson and her husband, Mark, of Pass Christian; his children, Bonnie Norris of Colorado, Joshua Norris of Texas, and Joseph Norris of Georgia; a granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Born on August 12, 1955, William was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent time in the first Gulf War, Desert Storm, in 1991. Until he returned to Georgia, William - known as Bill to his family and friends - was an active member of the D.A.V. and the VFW Post 2539 in Gulfport. Bill was much loved and will be deeply missed by his family.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, on Friday, June 28, 2007 at 1:30 PM.
