William A. """"Bill"""" """"Buddy"""" Moran, Jr., 79, of Gulfport, MS, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Moran was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a naval veteran of WWII. He was a member of Handsboro Baptist Church serving as Sunday School teacher, deacon, and trustee. He was a member of the Handsboro Polar Star Masonic Lodge #154 as a past master, a 33rd degree Mason and past master of the Scottish Rites of the Gulfport Consistry. He retired at KAFB in 1979 as superintendent of the electrical section and retired from Harrison County as the electrical inspector in 1989.
Mr. Moran is preceded in death by his parents, William A. Moran, Sr. and Julia R. Moran; one sister, Hilda Vogt; three brothers, Pete Moran, Sr., James E. Moran, and Benny Moran; and one granddaughter, Rebekah Sicotte.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frances E. Moran; two sons (daughters-in-law) Rev. W. David Moran (Diane) and Mark R. Moran (Lynn); one daughter (son-in-law) Suzy M. Sicotte (Peter D.); six grandchildren (spouses) Ashley (Donnie) Jones, Amy (Mark) Farris, Joshua (Katherine) Sicotte, Alan Moran, Sarah (Jim) Woodyear, and Matt Moran; and 4 great-grandchildren, Cole, Molly, Spencer and Hayden.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Riemann family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations be made to Memorial Hospital @ Gulfport Hospice or local foundation of Alzheimer's Foundation or the Gideons.
A special thanks goes to the MHG Hospice Staff and the staff at April's Place for making Buddy's (Daddy's) transition smooth and painless!
