Mr. William Rudolph Mills, age 64, resident of Bay St. Louis, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Mills was a native of Greenville, TX, and grew up in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees, and later married Marion Cospelich. They lived in Dallas where he worked as a Master Carpenter with his father. He served as a mentor to many young builders as he taught his trade by doing things the right way, the first time. He had been a resident of Bay St. Louis for over 20 years. He attended First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis and enjoyed the beaches and RV travel. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and staying busy. He loved listening to music and cooking for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alene Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marion Cospelich Mills of Bay St. Louis; daughter, Sonia Mills Wolfrom of The Woodlands, TX; father, John W. Mills of Bay St. Louis; sister, Donna Mills Norris and her husband Chuck; grandchildren, Austin and Lauren Wolfrom; mother-in-law, Allie Poillion Cospelich; sisters-in-law, Maxine C. Carver, Rebecca C. Henly and her husband Robert; and many nieces and nephews, whom he adored.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday September 17, 2009, at First Baptist Chruch, Bay St. Louis, at 4:00 p.m., where friends may visit 30 minutes prior to services.
