Chief M/Sgt William L. Lain, USAF, Retired, age 79, of Saucier, died Saturday, January 05, 2008 in Kosciusko, MS.
Mr. Lain was a native of Rockport, IL and lived most of his life on the coast. He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served as a medic flying combat missions in Vietnam. After retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Lain and his wife owned and operated a cosmetology school in Biloxi and he was a 32nd Degree Mason and enjoyed outdoor activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Grace Curtis Lain and a brother, Glen Dale Lain.
Survivors include his wife, Roma M. Lain; his children: Stephen Michael Lain and his wife Sueann Lain, and their children, Mason Kyler Lain and Joshua D'Lane Nelson, all of Saucier, and Wanda Kay Herring and her husband Oney """"Rocky"""" of Pass Christian and her their children, Michael Craig Osborn and Larry Wayne Potter, Jr. and his wife Patty; his siblings: Virgil Curtis Lain, Clarence Marshall Lain, Rachel Lipcamon, and Julie Ann Allensworth, all of Illinois; and 2 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Leanne Potter.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 am. Interment will be in Southern Memorial Park.
