William “W.C.” Holland, 88 of Saucier passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024 at the Pillars Nursing Facility surrounded by his family. He was born on June 11, 1935 in San Antonio, TX to the late William D. & Virginia Holland. He is preceded in death by parents; sister, Marion Glenn; and grandparents, Rev. William D. & Ida Holland.
W.C. graduated from Lyman High School in 1953. During high school he met Ila Schanbacher and they married October 23, 1953. They were married for 70 years. While he was married, W.C. started working for Indal Aluminum and worked there for 40 years before his retirement. He was known as “Billy” to most of the crew members at Indal Aluminum.
W.C. loved being in the outdoors going fishing, hunting, and working in his yard. He was a hardworking but loving and loyal person who would do anything for anyone. W.C. was known for his wonderful talks while drinking his coffee. W.C. enjoyed watching his favorite Western Movies and reading his Western Books that his beloved niece, Sherry Gray and sister in-law, Lois Shaw provided for him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. W.C. will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
W.C. is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ila Holland; children, David (Karen) Holland, Danny Holland, Cindy (Steve) Cochran; loving friend, Frank Chapman; sister, Carolyn Bobinger; brother, Jimmy (Ann) Holland; and sister in-law, Lois Shaw. W.C. also leaves behind to cherish his memory 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Saucier Cemetery (17391 Angel Road, Saucier, MS 39574). Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is assisting the family.
