William 'Bill' Frances Boswell

William 'Bill' Frances Boswell, age 62, late of Ocean Springs, MS – Passed away peacefully, into the arms of his Savior, with his family by his side on, Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. 

Bill was born on April 20, 1962, in Biloxi, MS to Charles & Fran Boswell. Throughout his life, Bill was an outdoor enthusiast who loved spending time with his friends and family.  What he valued most in this life was good fellowship and making bonds with the people around him. Bill’s faith and love for Jesus outshined like no other and was a true testament to anyone who met him. 

Bill was a loving husband, father and Pop Pop to his four grandsons.  He especially loved spending time with his friends, fishing, shooting guns and being at the beach.  

His favorite passage of scripture that he lived by is “and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-3.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The University of Alabama Birmingham staff and doctors for all the love and care they have shown to Una & Bill throughout his Heart Transplant journey. Also, a thank you to Red Mountain Grace for their hospitality while they were in Birmingham. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Una A. Broussard Boswell of 34 wonderful years. His children, Christina M. Hamilton (Joe Hamilton), Brandon Boswell, and Jared Boswell (Kim Boswell). His grandchildren, Joseph L. Hamilton, John Michael Hamilton, George F. Hamilton and Asher C. Boswell. His brother, John M. Boswell and niece, Lauren M. James. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Francis Boswell and his father Charles Boswell. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 27th, 2024, at Center Pointe Church, 6201 MS-57, Ocean Springs, with a visitation from 12:00/Noon until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Youth for Christ at 228-864-0788 or Home of Grace at homeofgrace.org or by calling 228-826-5283 in South Mississippi in Bill’s honor.
