William """"Billy""""Elliott, age 70, formerly of Long Beach, residing at the VA Center in Collins, MS., died Monday, July 16, 2007 in Collins.
Mr. Elliott was a resident of the coast for 33 years and worked as planning director for various agencies in the south. He attended Long Beach Presbyterian Church and served in the US Navy. Mr. Elliott was a former Member of the Moose Lodge and Sigma Nu Fraternity. He received a Bachelors and Masters Degree at Ole Miss and was a fan of Ole Miss Football.
Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents, William Watkins and Laura Elizabeth Briggs Elliott, Jr.; and two sons, William Elliott, II. He is survived by his wife Patty; a daughter, Tammy Angeloa and husband Christopher of Brandon, MS; two sisters, Beth Elliott Lovelace and Mary Margaret Bickerstaff both of Jackson, MS; grandson, Ryan Christopher Angelo and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Long Beach City Cemetery.
