BUC William O. Doyle, known to his family and friends as Bill, U.S. Navy, Ret., age 75, of Long Beach, passed away on December 29, 2014.
Mr. Doyle was born January 8, 1939, in Yonkers, New York. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the U. S. Navy Seabees after 22 years of service. Upon retiring from the Seabees, he was a contract inspector with Civil Service at CBC Gulfport, retiring Civil Service in 2005. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at CBC Gulfport.
Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Doyle; brother, James Doyle, Jr.; and sister, Peggy.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Doreen; sons, Billy and Frankie; daughters, ChrisAnne (James) Ballard and Heather (Paul) Shaw; grandchildren, Christopher, Shannon, Peyton, Preston, J. T. and Willie; great-grandchild Carter; a loving aunt, Kay Doyle; nephews James A. Doyle III, Christopher Doyle and niece Janelle Doyle; and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 6 - 8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd., Long Beach.
Burial will be held at 11am at the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS, with burial honors rendered by the U.S. Navy.
