William M. Carter

William ""Bill"" Marion Carter died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Bay St. Louis, MS, on July 19, 2011.
He was born in Dennis, MS on September 6, 1939. He was married to his loving wife, Sue Blanchard Carter, for 48 years. Bill Carter was a loving husband, caring father, and big brother. He was loved by all and will always be remembered as a strong man with a soft heart. We will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel South Carter; father, Homer D. Carter; brother, Dave B. Carter; and brother-n-law, Lionel Swaim.
He is survived by his wife, Sue B. Carter of Bay St. Louis, MS; 4 children, William M. ""Billy"" Carter, Jr. of Kentwood, LA, Sandy Carter Newman of Kentwood, LA, Jenny Carter Jackson of St. Francisville, LA, and Douglas Martin Carter, Sr. of Flora, MS; 9 grandchildren, Mitch Newman, Jr., Brandy Aron, Kristin Aron, Presley Newman, Will Carter, III, Blake Carter, Douglas Carter, Jr., Aidan Carter, and Cecile Carter; 2 great grandchildren, Kailey Newman and Angela Lynn Ogle; and 3 siblings, Jimmie Ray Carter, Hilda Carter Swaim, and Nancy Carter Watts.
