William L. """"W.L.""""""""Dub"""" Bourgeois, age 82, of Gulfport, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Bourgeois was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was the owner/operator of Builders Specialty Supply, Company, Gulfport. He was a member of the MS Gulf Coast Home Builders Association where he served on the Board of Directors. He was also a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and a member of the Merchant Marine Veterans Association where he served as Secretary/Treasurer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Bonnie Stockstil Bourgeois, a sister, Betty Sue Smith, and a brother, Bruce Bourgeois.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bourgeois; 2 brothers, Jack L. (Nell) Bourgeois, all of Gulfport, Kenneth D. (Fran) Bourgeois, Slidell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2007 from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N, Gulfport. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the South MS Humane Society, 2615 Hwy 49, Gulfport, MS 39501.
