William "Billy" Edward Winchester

William Edward “Billy” Winchester, age 61 of Long Beach, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

He graduated from Long Beach High School in 1981.  In the mid 1970’s, he was a member of the Long Beach Skateboard Championship Team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Betty Winchester; and his brother, Phillip “Reo” Winchester.

Although he never married or had children of his own, Billy will always be “Uncle Bill” to the Leslie family.  He will be greatly missed by his friends, co-workers, and his second family.

Billy worked at Danny’s Fried Chicken, MARCO China, and Oreck/Regina.  He was currently employed at Harrison County Tax Assessor’s Office.

He enjoyed playing the harmonica and guitar, but riding his Harley Motorcycle was his passion.  Billy had a smile that lit up the room and a great sense of humor.  He was quiet and easy going.

 The memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS, followed by a visitation from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  A reception will be held immediately after the visitation at Long Beach VFW, 213 Klondyke Rd., Long Beach, MS   Interment will be at 9 am, Friday, September 1, 2023, in Long Beach City Cemetery.
