Wiley Harris Thurman, age 64, resident of Saucier, left this earth on May 6, 2011, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was a retired fireman for Gufport Fire Dept. and had served in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Caroline Thurman; brothers, James and Charles Thurman; and sisters, Mary Rogers and Donna Hanks.
He is survived by his children, Robert H. ""Bobby"" Thurman and Christy Thurman; siblings, Wallace, William, and Edmond Thurman, Marty Goodman, Betty Sears, Eva Ashburn, Patricia Allen, and Avis Garland; grandchildren, Robert Cole Thurman and Jasmine Estelle Thurman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 9-11 a.m.
Graveside services will also be held on Monday at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport at 11:30 a.m.
