Wendy Christine Yurik

Wendy Christine Yurik, 49, of Gulfport, Mississippi, unexpectedly went to heaven on March 3, 2023, following a brief illness.

Wendy was born on March 9, 1973, to Robert and Susan Yurik in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After Wendy graduated from Caroline High School in 1991, she moved to Mississippi and began a long career working in the retail industry. She valued her family and was a hard-working employee who was passionate about helping others.

She was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and loyal friend. Wendy lived life on her own terms and always had a smile which was contagious. She loved to shop and was able to find unbelievable deals. She was a kind, gentle, considerate, and generous soul who always found big and small ways to show that she cared whether by dropping a card in the mail or taking the time to make personalized gifts for those close to her. She was a loving caregiver to her Mississippi Memaw near the end of her life. She was also a loving caregiver and best pal to her mother, Susan, and never let her want for anything.

Wendy is survived by her mother Susan Yurik, aunt Sandra Councell, many cousins, and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Yurik, grandparents Sidney and Mary Ann Johnson, aunt Mary Gail Williams, and Uncle Kenneth Johnson.  Wendy will forever live on in our hearts and memories.
