Wendell S. Taylor, Jr., age 90 and a resident of Diamondhead, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015, in Pass Christian.
Mr. Taylor was a longtime resident of Diamondhead and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed with numerous worldwide engineering construction firms which included international assignments. Mr. Taylor loved life, was an avid golfer, loved dogs, and had an infectious laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell S. Taylor, Sr. and Marion Mitchell Taylor; his beloved wives, Patricia Grant Taylor and Joyce Shread Taylor and a nephew, Thomas Neil Burns.
He is survived by his sister, Anne Taylor Burns of Houston, TX; his nieces, Sara Sykes of Houston, TX and Jane (Robert) Burleson and their family of San Antonio, TX; his nephew, Ben Burns of Austin, TX and many dear friends in Diamondhead.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 10:00am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 2159 East Pass Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, served the family.
