Mr. Wayne Otis Richmond, 61, of Ocean Springs, MS, succumbed to cancer on Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Ocean Springs, after over ten years of living successfully with the disease.
Wayne was born November 22, 1947 in Biloxi and was a life-long resident of the Gulf Coast.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Trochesset Richmond of Ocean Springs; his two sons, Randall Richmond and his wife, Katie, and Jeremy Richmond and his girlfriend, Kelly Hasling, all currently living in New Orleans working as engineers. He has three siblings all living in Ocean Springs: Briley Richmond, Rhonda Richmond Parker, and Jon Richmond, his business partner and fishing buddy. He was the son of Iris Eleuterius Richmond, deceased, and James Briley aÌâÅJ.B.aÌâ Richmond, living in Biloxi.
Wayne graduated in 1965 from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, LA where he was a standout athlete in baseball and football. He attended Louisiana State University and went on to the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1969. Wayne was founder and owner of All Points Professional Home Inspections.
Wayne shared his life surrounded by many friends and loved ones. His home was a welcoming place for all, and he was always ready with a joke or a bit of wisdom that the mood required. For those that knew Wayne, Saturdays in the fall and winter were for the Tigers while Sundays were for the Saints. The spring and summer split time between fishing, golfing, boating, and baseball. He will be very missed by all that knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank everyone whose caring friendship and help near the end lightened an incredible burden.
