Culver Wayne Moser, age 73 of Gulfport, passed away October 28, 2021, at the VA Hospital, Biloxi, MS.
He was born in Kansas on September 14, 1948. As a young child, he moved to California, and on June 6, 1966, he graduated from Barstow High School. Shortly after graduation, Wayne decided to Join the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Wayne was deployed to Vietnam, where he received multiple awards, including a bronze star. Wayne was honorably discharged from the military as a Navy Seabee Petty Officer Second Class in January 1972.
After leaving the military, Wayne returned home to Barstow CA. Later moving to Las Vegas, NV, Wayne started his career as a Generator Salesman. On February 14, 1980, Culver Wayne Moser married Catherine and by the early 90’s Wayne and his wife Cathy began to move around for Wayne’s career. In the Mid 2000’s Wayne decided to retire in Saint Charles, MO. Although Wayne and Cathy were happy, he truly missed living near the beach. In 2014, Wayne and Cathy decided to move to Gulfport MS. At this point Wayne knew he was home.
Culver Wayne Moser is survived by his wife of 41 years, Catherine E. Moser; his two daughters, Rochelle Prochnow and Brandy Lamz; his two stepdaughters, Angelina Palleson and Tonya Yoshida; his three grandchildren, Larry, Baylee, and Connor Whiting; and his three step grandchildren, Johnathon, Joseph, and Cody Palleson.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Handsboro Presbyterian Church, 1304 E Pass Rd. Gulfport Mississippi 39507. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the church, followed by interment at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi MS.
