Warren K. "Tiny" Walker

Warren K. ""Tiny"" Walker, Sr., was born June 11, 1930, and passed away on August 1, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, MS.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents Evon and Mable Walker and his brothers Jerry Evon (Pete) Walker and Louis Raymond (Duddie) Walker.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Pierce Walker; his children Linda Walker Comstock (David), and Warren Kenneth Walker, Jr. (Susan); his grandchildren Amy Comstock Brown and Ashley Comstock; and his great grandchild Garrett Comstock. He is also survived by his siblings Carol Cuevas of Long Beach, and Gilbert Walker of Nashville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Warren had a strong love for his family and community. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul Society. He also served his community as a Mason. Warren served on the Gulfport Police Department for 17 years and retired as a Major. Prior to serving on the Gulfport Police Department, he served his country for four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Warren loved to fish and work at his farm. He enjoyed traveling over the years and spending time with his family. His family mourns his passing and is grateful for the care he received and the peace he now has. He was a blessing in the lives that he touched and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center, Railroad St, Gulfport.
