Mr. Warren Edward Shireman, age 72, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Shireman was born in Corydon, Indiana to the late Jess and Clarice Shireman in 1937. He later joined the United States Air Force and served his country for 8 years. He moved the Coast in 1966 after marrying Reba Wigington. He was self employed as a painting contractor for many years before retiring. He was a devout member of St. James Catholic Church. His generous spirit and heart may be gone, but will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Shireman Smith; his parents; his brothers, Jesse, Fred, and Frank Shireman; and his sisters, Mary and Tudy.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Reba W. Shireman; his 2 granddaughters, Mary Jolene Piper and her husband James, and Jacqlyn Smith; and great grandson, Ryan Edward Piper, and an expected great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 5-7 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
