In Loving Memory of Warren Ashton Cressey II
November 27, 1958 – January 10, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Warren Ashton Cressey II, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on January 10, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on November 27, 1958, in Groveland, Florida, Warren Ashton Cressey II was a man whose life was a celebration of adventure, dedication, and love.
A proud graduate of South Lake High School’s Class of 1976, he continued his education at Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business, earning an associate’s degree in Business and Commerce. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality led him to over 30 years in commercial and residential construction where he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Before building a professional legacy, Warren Ashton Cressey, II carved waves as an accomplished pro surfer. His adventurous spirit found solace on the water, where he spent countless joyful days boating. His love for nature extended to planting and cultivating beauty wherever he lived, and his compassionate heart always found room for animals.
In a testament to his craftsmanship and faith, Warren Ashton Cressey, II married the love of his life, Christine Herring-Cressey, in the very church he built with his own hands. Their marriage was a union of partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they nurtured a family that will carry forward his love and values. He is survived by his cherished wife, Christine; his daughters, Ashley Gaytan (John Gaytan) and Victoria Martinez, and his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Gaytan and Lucas Gaytan who were his greatest joy.
He is also remembered by his siblings, Gary Cressey, Carol Adams (Terry Adams), and Fred Cressey, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He now joins his parents, Lois Hayden Cressey and Warren Cressey, and his sister, Nancy Cressey, in eternal peace.
Those who knew Warren Ashton Cressey, II will remember his warmth, humor, and the quiet strength with which he faced life’s challenges. His legacy of love, craftsmanship, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, where family and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home chapel beginning at 9:30 am until the service time.
