Wanna P. White, age 83 and of Gulfport, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. White was born in Stovall, MS, July 24, 1924, and grew up in Greenville; moving to Gulfport in 1957. She was employed by Southern Bell in 1942 and held several positions prior to her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport where she worked for years in the children's ministry, and was active in the Senior Adult and WMU activities. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband Sidney P. White; her parents, A.T. Pharris and Mamie Terrell Pharris; a brother Tom Pharris and a sister Evie Pharris Premont.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy White Moon and her husband Bill Moon and two granddaughters Kimberly Moon and Melissa Moon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Bel Aire Baptist Church Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
