Wanda Martin

Wanda Sue King Martin age 90, a native of Hickman, KY and resident of D'Iberville, MS since 2015, passed away on February 7, 2022 in D'Iberville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Wilma King; a sister, Lenora Laster; and her loving husband, Reece Martin.

Ms Wanda is survived by her sons, Van Ellingburg and his wife Charlene of Hickman, KY, and Kim Ellingburg and his wife Jina of D’Iberville, MS;  her grandchildren, Brad Ellingburg (Leigha) of Hickman, KY, Vanessa Hill (Daniel) of S. Fulton, TN, Joseph Ellingburg of Marrero, LA, and Christopher Ellingburg (Amber) of Belle Chasse, LA; and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

She graduated from Hickman High School in 1950, and worked various jobs before she worked for Tyson Foods and retired as an Inspector.  She was a member of the Union City Church of God in TN and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside memorial service will be held on April 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.,  at Hickman City Cemetery, In Hickman, KY.  Strong Funeral Home will be assisting the family with laying Ms. Wanda to rest.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to any humane society or animal shelter.
