Wanda Frances Ratcliff Lundy, age 97 of Brandon, MS, passed away at her home on August 23, 2021.
She was born in Knox County, TN on September 25, 1925 to the late Clyde Ratcliff and Lela Ratcliff. She graduated from Central High School in Fountain City, Tennessee.
Upon graduation, Wanda took a job with AT&T in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee as a switchboard operator. She met C.B. “Red” Lundy from Memphis, Tennessee. Having just come from the war, C.B. found a promising job in Gulfport. They were married in 1946 at First United Methodist Church in Gulfport and started their life in a new state. They remained in Gulfport until his passing in 1998. Due to Katrina, Wanda moved to Brandon, Mississippi in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Conerly (Frank Dee); and her grandchildren, Kevin and Rebecca.
Memorials may be made to Biloxi-Gulfport Salvation Army, Methodist Children’s Home in Jackson, MS or any charity of your choice.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 27, 2021, at Southern Memorial Park in the Mausoleum Chapel.
