Wanda Corcoran

Wanda Lee Corcoran, age 54, of Ocean Springs, formerly of Metairie, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

Mrs. Corcoran was born in Louisiana to Floyd M. and Juanita Austin Pritchett.  She met her husband at the age of 15 and have been together ever since.  They worked together in many jobs, from newspaper delivery, to construction, to shipbuilding.  She and Gawain went through the program in Louisiana to be foster and adoptive parents, and in 2006, they were blessed with two boys to complete their family.  Wanda loved pets and would have housed every type if Gawain hadn’t protested.  She loved the colors red, black, and purple, and she enjoyed making crafts. She reached many people over the years making significant impacts on those she befriended.  She will be remembered for her strong will, her compassion for others, and sweet spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her soulmate of 38 years, Gawain Corcoran; sons, Jordan Michael Corcoran and Gavin James Corcoran; siblings, Brenda Richard (Earl), Floyd M. Pritchett, Jr. (Karen), Gordon Pritchett, and Darrell Pritchett (Alicia); and her large, extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Avenue, at 11:00 am.  Friends may visit one hour prior.
