Walter Patterson

Mr. Walter Jack Patterson, age 58, resident of Perkinston, died Sunday, October 7, 2007.
Mr. Patterson was born on December 1, 1948 in Gulfport, MS, and was of Baptist faith. He graduated from Hattiesburg High School and received a music scholarship to the University of Southern Mississippi. He later served our country in the Navy, rising to the rank of AMS Third Class. Mr. Patterson owned Patterson Ice and Refrigeration, and was a member of the RSES. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and longtime participant of the Gulf Coast Fishing Rodeo. He was also a silversmith and worked with gemstones.
Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his father, Walter Jack Patterson. He is survived by his mother, Alice B. Patterson; his son Walter Jack Patterson III, his daughter, Carrie Lee Patterson; two grandchildren, Kyle Benson Dye, and Jasmine Marie Varnado; his sister, Terry Blake Edwards; nieces and nephews, Patrick Wyatt Blake, Dawn Michelle Edwards and Bernie Francis Donlin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 North, Gulfport. Private family service will be at a later date.
