Walter John Gallagher

Walter ""John"" Gallagher, Jr., age 76, of DeLisle, passed away on HWednesday, November 2, 2011.
Mr. Gallagher loved coaching softball, baseball, umpiring, and dancing. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and he played football with the Air Force football team while stationed in Denmark. Mr. Gallagher later retired from Stennis Space Center after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jones Gallagher.
Survivors include his children, Kevin (Angela) Gallagher, Kerry (Vanessa) Gallagher, Kristie (Stevie Daniels) Gallagher, and Kellie Gallagher Ziegler, 1 sister, Mary Ann Becknell, 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Bradley, Andrew, Morgan, Abbey, and Tyler and Courtney Simmons, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2011 from 11am - 12noon at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kiln DeLisle Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon in the church.
