Mr. Walt Bell, age 70, resident of Biloxi, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Biloxi.
Mr. Bell was born in Cumberland, MD and traveled the world with his wife while serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired in July 1983 from military service as a Captain after 20 years. Following retirement, he worked at Huntoon's in Gulfport. He enjoyed the Coast's cuisine, and was very quick to offer his opinion about the dining experience. His interests also included George Ohr pottery and the museum that bears his name, where Mr. Bell was a benefactor.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Marian and Walter Bell; a brother, David Bell; and a sister, Judy Bell.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Bell of Biloxi; son, Kenneth Bell of Biloxi; sister, Carolyn Rooks of Hamilton, OH; and brother, Thom Bell of Dallas, TX.
A celebration of Mr. Bell's life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008, at 11:00am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, BILOXI, where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Following services, the friends are invited to gather with the family in the funeral home for a light reception.
