Wallace "Wally" Lee Ramage, age 74, lifelong Gulfport MS resident, proud Handsboro Boy, and loving family man, while surrounded by both of his brothers and his two children, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019, in St. Louis MO. He was born May 26, 1944 to the late Russell and Laura Ramage.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pamela Duckworth Ramage; his daughter, Kimberly Berkenwald (Aaron) of St. Louis MO; his son, Kevin Ramage (Heather) of Ocean Springs MS; his grandchildren, Grace and Gil Ramage of Ocean Springs MS; his brothers; Rusty Ramage (Katherine "Kitty") of Gulfport MS and Clayton Ramage (Lawanda), of Gulfport MS; his nephews, Scott Carriere of Hattiesburg, MS, Brian Carriere (Meredith) of Gulfport, MS; Russell "Tras" Ramage (Tara) of Gulfport, MS, Christopher Ramage of Gulfport, MS, and Micky Henderson, Gulfport MS, his nieces, Amber Ramage Craig (Hunter) of Birmingham, AL, and Fallon Ramage Josef (Jason) of Gulfport, MS; and his cousins, Wayne Kelly, Sandra Kelly, Missy Short, Lorna Ann Boughrara, and Garon Trojanowski.
Wally was a loving and caring husband, who dedicated the last years of his life to being the caregiver of his wife, Pam, who suffers from Alzheimer's. Earlier in life, Wally was an entrepreneur who owned Brothers Three Lounge, Harbor Square Amoco, Kim Kev Maintenance, and Bob's Bait Shop, just to name a few. He loved his country and his community. He served 6 years of service in the Mississippi Air National Guard, as a Gulfport Police Officer, and also served his community by hosting/cooking for hundreds of benefit fish fries over the years.
Wally enjoyed cooking, classic cars, making new friends and most of all making others happy.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, March 18, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the funeral home chapel, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery, Biloxi.
